OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — The Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS) District is excited to announce the launch of two innovative programs, Bricklayer, Allied Craftworker & Mason and Legal Studies & Paralegal Practice, designed to prepare high school and post-secondary students for in-demand careers. Enrollment is now open for these two-year programs, which will begin in Fall 2025.
Both programs are backed by partnerships with leading industry organizations, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that meets current workforce needs. These partnerships provide access to cutting-edge resources, expert guidance, and hands-on experiences that bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
Bricklayer, Allied Craftworker & Mason Program
Located at the OCVTS Brick Campus, this comprehensive program is tailored to provide students with the skills and knowledge required for a thriving career in masonry and construction. Core topics include:
• Fundamentals of bricklaying, block laying, and concrete finishing
• Blueprint reading, materials handling, and building code compliance
• Specialized skills in stone setting, tile installation, and tuckpointing
Legal Studies & Paralegal Practice Program
Offered at the OCVTS Toms River Campus, this program provides students with a foundational understanding of the U.S. legal system and the essential skills needed for a successful career in the legal field. Key areas of study include:
• Legal research, case management, and professional ethics
• Drafting legal documents and conducting client interviews
• Procedural aspects of litigation and evidence handling
Enrollment Now Open
