    These mini-courses are designed to provide Ocean County homeowners with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and complete basic home repair as a result of storm damage caused by the recent super storm Sandy.

    These courses also will cover how a typical home is constructed and how to do repairs, maintenance and improvements to your home. Learn how to work safely using basic hand and power tools, how the primary systems (plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical systems) work and how to maintain them, and identify problems that can lead to serious repairs.

    These courses will pay for themselves in savings to the homeowner. Some hands-on training will be included. The instruction will focus on eight areas in the home. These seminars and mini-courses will run from 6:30PM to 9:30PM for 1 to 4 nights each.


    Safety will be discussed and demonstrated for each of the areas in the course. Proper and safe use of hand and power tools will be included in each area.

    When it comes to remediating mold, it's always best to hire a professional
    mold removal and remediation service. However, if the mold in
    your home is not toxic and the area of mold growth is small (less than
    10 square feet, or the equivalent of roughly a 3 by 3 foot patch) then
