    OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY -Students from the Ocean County Vocational Technical School’s Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES) fared very well at the 2019 New Jersey Shore Bowl Competition held at Rutgers University, earlier this month. MATES had two Ocean Sciences Bowl Teams in the competition which placed 2nd and 3rd in their respective divisions. The Shore Bowl is a regional competition in which students test their knowledge about the oceans and marine science-related topics. The competition is sponsored through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and its Ocean Sciences Bowl Program.
