OCEAN COUNTY, NJ- The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation is committed to "supporting Ocean County based initiatives that include the arts, human services and education." The Foundation has been a strong advocate for Ocean County Vocational Technical School for the past several years and recently expressed their support by donating $100,000 to supplement the budget for the 2014-2015 school year.

Mr. Jay Grunin stated, "Vocational education, we have learned, is so important for our communities and for our country. Young people receive training for jobs that are available right here in Ocean County. While we are big supporters of a college education, we know that not every student wants to go or should go to college. Vocational training prepares students for good jobs, jobs that are vital to make this country even greater and stronger. We are glad to be able to do are part and partner with Ocean County Vocational Technical School in such a meaningful way"

Jay and Linda Grunin, along with their son and Foundation Executive, Jeremy Grunin, recently attended the OCVTS Board of Education meeting and presented a check for $100,000. Board President Nina Anuario expressed her appreciation for the donation and for the Foundation's continued advocacy for the vital role that career and technical education plays in the future of Ocean County.

Last year Ocean County Vocational Technical School provided quality career training to over 5,300 Ocean County residents through full-time academies, shared-time high school, full-time adult and evening school programs. Focused, career-specific training builds a strong foundation of skills which provides a pathway to great careers.
