OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The Toms River-ocean County Chamber of Commerce presented Ocean County Vocational Technical School with the Pinnacle Philanthropic Leadership Award for Outstanding Leadership in Education. An organization must have been a past recipient of the "Organization of the Year' and remain involved and committed to the community to be nominated for the Pinnacle Award.

The award was presented recently at a luncheon, sponsored by chamber member new Jersey Natural Gas, at the Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood. The luncheon began with flag salute and presentation of colors by the OCVTS Law & Public Safety Color Guard. Entertainment throughout the luncheon was provided by students from the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy who showcased a few highlights of the upcoming performance 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.'

William P. Hoey accepted a plaque from Chamber Chairman Richard Krug and Chamber President Maureen Stankowitz. Mr. Hoey commented, "It is a great honor to receive this award. It is through partnerships with local businesses that Ocean County Vocational Technical School is able to provide internships, work experience and employment opportunities for our students. The Chamber of Commerce is a valuable resource for business growth and a tremendous asset to our school."

Also receiving the Pinnacle Award for Philanthropic Leadership in the Community was OceanFirst Bank. Accepting the award was OceanFirst Vice President of xxx Nina Anuario, who also serves as the President of the OCVTS Board of Education.
